Allens contract expired after Saturdays regular-season finale at Northern Iowa. Missouri State had a 4-8 record this season - after a 3-1 start - and was 37-64 under Allen. He told reporters after the UNI game that he had coached his final game at Missouri State. Athletic director Kyle Moats made that official Sunday at a news conference. Allen has a 132-123 career record in 22 overall seasons. He had been a big winner previously in the Missouri Valley Football Conference at UNI, going 75-26 in eight seasons from 1989-1996.
